Please take a moment and write to your councillor, Ottawans! Despite commitments to the contrary by the City and OC Transpo, ParaTranspo customers are still being discriminated against. The most recent example is New Year’s Eve (their service stops at 1am while anyone who can use conventional transit gets until 4am). The discrimination is blatant at this point, sadly.

And the testing of the interim online booking system that OC Transpo says is supposed to start...well, now? Crickets. We’ve heard nothing and neither have the ParaParity folks.

Please email your councillor and ask for a firm date on the start of testing, a commitment that we and the ParaParity group have been consulted and included (as of December 29, nobody has been approached), and an extension of ParaTranspo hours immediately to 4am on NYE, to match conventional transit.

L'exemple le plus récent est celui de la veille du Nouvel An (leur service s'arrête à 1 h du matin alors que toute personne qui peut utiliser le transport en commun conventionnel a jusqu'à 4 h du matin). La discrimination est flagrante à ce stade, malheureusement.

Et la mise à l'essai du système provisoire de réservation en ligne qui, selon OC Transpo, est censé commencer... enfin, maintenant ? Les criquets. Nous n'avons rien entendu et les gens de ParaParity non plus.

Veuillez envoyer un courriel à votre conseiller et lui demander une date ferme pour le début des essais, un engagement que nous et le groupe ParaParité avons été consultés et inclus (en date du 29 décembre, personne n'a été approché), et une prolongation immédiate des heures de ParaTranspo jusqu'à 4 h du matin sur NYE, pour qu'elles correspondent au transport en commun conventionnel.
